Man, I could have gone to grad school!

John, congratulations. You have been awarded a Rock Scholarship for the Fall, 2009 semester. This award is based upon your academic performance, extracurricular activities, your letters of recommendation, and your personal commitment to the management profession. The award period is from the Fall, 2009 semester until the end of the Summer 2010 semester, and carries with it in-state student status for that period of study. The cash prize of $1,500 will be credited to your account at the Bursar's Office. Note that you must be enrolled for 5 or more hours in the Fall Semester to receive this award, and the scholarship cannot be “stacked” or combined with other scholarships awarded by the UT-Dallas School of Management.

Your award was funded with a generous donation by Terry and Claire Rock. Please contact me at your earliest convenience to learn about our plans to get you together with your sponsor so you can meet them and thank them in person.

Again- congratulations on your award. If you have any questions, please get in touch. I look forward to meeting you. Eckel

The Queen loves Darlene Zschech? Makes sense I guess....

Loved hearing from you today, call anytime. Sorry I was on a virtual meeting and couldn't talk long.

My chance to be a beauty queen!! Or... not...

Dear NES New England Winner

I wanted to clarify the dates for Earlybirds for NES Nationals as there is some confusion out there. The Earlybird 1 date which gives you 2 extra optional FREE was actually 8/1/2009, but since the NES New England pageant was held AFTER that date, we have extended the EARLYBIRD 1 to you until TODAY (10 days from your pageant). The earlybird 2 which is for everyone including you is 10/1, that gives you one extra optional FREE.

To take advantage of the Earlybird 1 all you need to do is PayPal a deposit TODAY to _______@COX.NET or mail a deposit to Tammy R____.

Remember at Nationals we have over 80 titles, EV ERYONE goes home with a crown or tiara and results are many times VERY different then states. Last year the NES National 9-15 Grand Supreme Victoria only won Beauty at NES New England and went on to Nationals 2 months later and won the Grand……..2 yrs ago a NES NE contestant won princess and went on to be crowned the NES National Grand Ambassador

I like to clean but just b/c we have the same last name don't mean I'm your maid!

From: Barbara Wilson

Either in the shower downstairs or in the garage there is a bottle of purple power. Mix up 1/4 to 1/3 of it in a spray bottle. There is an almost empty bottle under the kitchen sink or in the shower downstairs. Use a sponge or soft rag to get the black off of the floor or wall. The mop bucket is at the bottom of the stairs in the plastic container. The vacuum is over by the safe. The Bop is on the garbage cans on the deck.
Pinesol can be used on the kitchen and bathroom floors. The white vinegar and downey are on the bottom of the hall shelves. I'll mop the laminate flooring with that. It may get the kitchen and bath floors clean. Whatever you want to try.
You can vacuum the kitchen and mop. When it is dry you can move the stuff out of the livingroom into the kitchen when dry. The cabinets, pantry door and counter tops can be cleaned with furniture polish or downey/vinegar water whichever you prefer. There are rags in the white cabinet in the garage. Or, there is a yellow towel sitting on something across from the washer/dryer. You can cut it up. The scissors are in the last drawer to the right in the kitchen.
You can vacuum the carpets. They cannot be cleaned until Dad restretches the carpet in the little bathroom.
The windows will need to be cleaned. We'll mix up something to clean those with later.
Love you and thank you,
MOM

mo' firefox, mo' problems

Hi Terry & John,

As you can see by the lateness of the hour, I been on the computer to solve my problem, which I did, only to encounter another. I got the line back which I lost and for my 3rd line I got one which I never had before and where it should say my hotmail, thats gone.
Apart from that when I switch on the computer now, I get a Firefox message in Spanish now. Must have clicked the wrong button again, but cant get that back either. Will have another try until I get too tired and let you know the results tomorrow.
Nighty, night for now

how about... 10 past never?

So we are working together on tutorials - any preferences on when you want to schedule yours? I figure since we have two we could just make a set time on two different days and just switch people. Let me know what works for you!

These t-ball coaches are really confused

Hi all. My name is Chris M. and I'll be your kids coach for T-ball this year. All the rosters have been finalized and our Team name will be the Giants. The season will kick off a week from this Saturday on April 19th for the annual parade. We won't be playing that day so no need to bring any equipment. The parade will be starting at the DPW building on Matakeeset Street at 11:45. I'll be handing out uniforms that day so I'd like to see everyone there around 11:30. Going forward all of our games will be on Saturday @ 1PM at the Matakeeset fields, I should have the schedule this weekend and will forward it along when I do.

Please feel free to shoot me an email or call me w/ any questions. Looking forward to meeting everyone and having a great season.

Thanks,

Chris

PS: I've attached a pdf w/ info on the Annual Golf Tourney for any of you golfers out there that may be interested. I think this is our only fundraiser for the year, so this will be the one time I try to get in your wallets, I think.

However, I quit school because of recess and I'm not on broadway so I'm done playing the fool.

Seeing as though we've been going back & forth for 5 yrs with this emotional, nonstable, on again off again. I think I might wife you but now I'm not even going to contact you childs play. I have come to the conclusion that I need some clairification. I'm 29 I don't just date to fullfill my loneliness because I'm grown.
I'm ready to know and deal with what you are willing to offer and what you want to do about us.

As I mentioned I'm not a child and 5 yrs is a validated time frame to figure out what you want to do. With that said I need clairification and if you can't do that than I can't do this no more, because we all know what it feels like to go down a shame spiral and yes everybody plays the fool. However, I quit school because of recess and I'm not on broadway so I'm done playing the fool.

Helllllllooooooo Laaaaadies,

Happy New Year/Merry Christmas!!! How is life in the CC treatin ya? Deployment is just about as much fun as I could ask for. The best way I could describe it is glorified babysitting...with your testicles in a vice. Hope both of you got to go home over the holidays and enjoy some real winter weather.

The good news is I am going to SWOs (aka SWO Mecca) at the end of Jan. So I get to go back to the states early, and watch the Bears in the Super Bowl. I know we are all excited about the Bears being in the playoffs! So I don't have to remind you to brush up on the Super Bowl Shuffle....

Here are some pictures from deployment. One is of the fine ship Dextrous....yes it does list to one side...no, no one can figure out why. What a piece of shit. We were in Dubai for New Years. Ryan and I went to Ski Dubai which was an indoor ski slope. That was excellent. Not very big but decent snow skiing for the middle of the desert. They had a jump there too (I think I got like....3 feet of air that time). The only time I fell was walking out of the locker room in ski boots. Pretty funny. I saved the best pictures for last. New Years we went to this Roadhouse Bar (kinda like Jakes) in some pretty sweet suits. The plaid suit I had made in Bahrain inspired by the movie Caddyshack. I would dare to say it was the greatest idea I have had in a loooooong time.

If you write back use this email, I don't have access to my gmail over here. Hope both of you are still kicking a in flight school. Keep up the studying. I would ask you to send some mud pie....but I don't think it will travel very well!

AA H&I MEETING FORMAT FOR SALVATION ARMY

Good evening gentlemen. This is the regular Tuesday/Sunday night meeting of the Salvation Army Group of Alcoholics Anonymous.

My name is ____________. I am an alcoholic and your present secretary.

We shall now open the meeting with a moment of silence followed by the Serenity Prayer.

The following is the preamble of Alcoholics Anonymous:

"Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institutions; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety."

I have asked __________ to read the Twelve Traditions.

I have asked __________ to read a portion of chapter 5,

"How It Works."

I have asked __________ to read from chapter 3,

"More About Alcoholism."

We have come to the time of the meeting where we get to meet our newcomers.

At this time I would like to ask if there are any newcomers in their first 30 days of sobriety who would care to stand and introduce themselves by their first name only. This is not to embarrass you

its just so we can get to know you.

Welcome to the _______ newcomers.

Are there any birthdays or AA milestones we can help celebrate?

Congratulations to the birthday people.

Gentlemen, this is a reminder to respect this house:

All of us here are guests of the Salvation Army. We are ALL expected to be on our best behavior. Please refrain from using foul language anywhere in this house.

Tonight our chairperson is __________________.

(Close: Thank the chairperson and readers; ask someone to lead the Lord

s prayer.)

Pembroke Tee Ball coaching filled

I want to thank everyone for the overwhelming response to my request for coaches. We have filled the two vacancies which means we can determine the rosters and start the season. I hope to have the teams broken out by the end of the weekend and you should expect to be contacted by your coach early next week.
I filled the vacancies on a first come first served basis, however we do have a couple of coaches that do not currently have assistants so I would like to take those volunteers and place their children with coaches who are on their own. Each team should have 2-3 coaches to help monitor the bench, field and teach the kids.
Thank you again for your time and consideration in making this a fun season for all.
Rich

Tuesday, April 14, 2009

i'm not really a tee ball kind of girl..

We have had an unexpected high volume in late registrations. With that said, we had 6 coaches to coach roughly 55+ players. This number has spiked over 70, which means each team will carry 12 kids. To make a more enjoyable season (for both coaches and players) and to keep the kids interested it is in our best interest to have each team carry 8-10 players on each roster. We need to get 2 more coaches to fulfill our 8-10 player per team quota. Once we have the coaches in place I will then have the opportunity to split up the teams.

The commitment for tee ball is minimum, with practice/games held on Saturday afternoons at either 1 or 3pm.

If you are interested please respond ASAP so I can split up the teams and coaches can contact their players.

Thank you for your consideration,

Rich

i wonder what kind of dvds they have!

Jamal,

I enjoyed meeting you and you seem like you’d make a good roommate.

Just some info if you decide to move in:

Chris will be around on Sept 1st to give you the keys and let you in. we have visitor parking passes that you can use for a certain amount of time, until you get a Somerville resident sticker (you just need to show the parking dept. the Somerville address on your license/registration and then a bill, which I can switch over for you). I believe the parking dept also issues temporary permits that can be used for a week or so until you get a resident sticker (these are only $10.00)

If you needed to move some stuff in sooner, let me know, and we’ll see what we can do.

I am on vacation as of the 28th to LA, Chris will be back as of the 27th from his trip (he works for KISS108, local radio station you may have heard). You can give him the rent check for $465 when you see him.

Please let me know either way. As I said, you seem like a great guy and I’d be happy to have you here. (besides, look at that awesome dvd collection we have!! ;-)

i wish i had that 'salmon' colored 'paper' in my packet

Hey SAs,

I'm sending you this email because your student is 'higher' and is ready for some extra grammar instruction. I'm putting a packet on beginning gerunds (and infinitives) in their folders. They are getting 'special' practice bc we will never get to gerunds in level 1. It is a higher priority for some of your students more than others, so I'll indicate that on the 'salmon' colored sheet attached. Let me know if you have any questions.

Also, thanks for all your reports and sorry if I've spaced out on replying to you immediately. I'm happy with this system and am so gratful that the students are getting more individualized instruction. The reports are very helpful. Feel free to contact me anytime to ask questions. For instance, if there's a grammar rule you don't know, ask me or refer to the book, but don't make it up!

Thanks yall rock

lindsey is probably the best girlfriend ever

Hey Jordan,
Hope your monday is going good. I had a quick question for you. I was kind of wanting to help Alex out and finish his closet/laundry while he was gone (I know cleaning his closet wasn't his ideal Friday night so I wanted to finish it for him).
If it's a. not too much trouble/annoying and b. if you aren't working late, could i ever come over one of these nights and work the machines? I'll make dinner :)
Let me know what you think.

About this blog...

I have a pretty common last name and pretty common initials. I get email sent to me all the time that is not actually meant for me... so I'm going to post it here. It gets interesting sometimes!
